What is Kundalini Yoga?
Short answer:
It is a fast track technology working with our latent energy to liberate us from our limited existence, to heal all aspects of ourself, to awaken us to truth, and to prime the vessel to thrive in state of higher consciousness.

Long answer:

1. Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness.
It is a technology full of techniques that bring us into full awareness of ourselves and the way the world really exists. This awareness happens with the aid of awakening and moving energy. In a Kundalini Yoga session we are always directing our focus inwards to feel the subtle changes that are happening in and around us. The more awareness we create the deeper we work on ourselves to shift. Kundalini Yoga works in such a way that, due to the awakening and moving of energy, we continue to experience opening and awareness even when we have finished the practice. The more Kundalini Yoga you do the more you shift. Eventually you start to awaken to and realise all the things that are not beneficial for you in your life. Due to the practice, you have the energy and capacity to make healthier changes and decisions to improve your life in every aspect.
2. Kundalini Yoga is a Raja Yoga.
Raja Yoga is a path of yoga that has 8 branches to be a complete yoga for full holistic lifestyle integration. This means that Kundalini Yoga is not just about practicing on a mat, but is about lifestyle, diet, daily routines, communication and the activities we choose to partake in. It is about our personal conduct and behaviour. It works all of our internal systems of thinking, beliefs, patterns, emotions – all of which we can purify and streamline with the help of Kundalini Yoga.

3. Kundalini Yoga is a healing therapeutic yoga that generates and uses energy for total healing.
Healing happens on the physical, emotional, mental and energetic levels. These can be quite obvious and tangible. For example: In a session you will feel the shifts from a stressed out chaotic mind to a calm neutral mind, or a tense pain body to a relaxed soft body, or anxiety and anger to relief and peace.
Kundalini Yoga is designed to go even deeper than this. We can go deep into the healing process by working on memories, past or current experiences, working on old patterns and beliefs, on past lives, and with traumas.
Each Kriya / Meditation / Pranayama has a specific unique code that gets into the deep unconscious and subconscious parts of the mind to re-wire and re-program. This stops us running the programs that create suffering, pain and living a reactive life.
The unique code gets into all 10 of our bodies in a particular way to either remove blocks, improve the flow of energy or to strengthen specific areas.
This is why there are so many Kriyas and Meditation in Kundalini Yoga. There is something for every specific need to heal and re-program.
4. Kundalini Yoga is a tool to make sense of everything that is happening.
Kundalini Yoga is a tool to make sense of everything that is happening around us and within us in the transitioning from unconscious awareness to conscious awareness.
When practicing Kundalini Yoga, as individuals, we shift from being unconscious to being conscious and aware. The technology helps us understand what is going on as we go through these shifts as it is new territory that we are stepping into. It can feel very unsettling, but we can use Kundalini Yoga as an anchor and a foundation for this shift.
Human kind is also going through a shift at the moment. This shift is a raising of collective consciousness. In this transition there is a lot of chaos, disruption and madness. There is a push and pull between the old way of doing things, thinking and behaving with the new way of existence. Kundalini Yoga was brought to us in the 1970s for exactly this reason, so that we can use it for grounding, keeping us on the path and keeping us aware all the time of the truth.

You can experience Kundalini Yoga in many ways
